A philandering man. A spurned woman. Justice sought.
Though the plot elements are classic, The Silent Wife, a novel by A.S.A. Harrison, makes it clear that this will not be a predictable story. Jodi and Todd, the main characters, tell the story from their perspective in alternating chapters of the book.
After a relationship spanning 20 years, Jodi and Todd know each other better than anyone else in the world, and they are settled into an impeccable routine of daily life in a comfortable level of luxury.
However, when their way of life is threatened, both characters immediately launch plans to guarantee their own well being, with consequences tragic to themselves and those close to them.
The key factor of The Silent Wife, which makes it stand out among a sea of suspense novels, is the depth of development Harrison put into her characters. In some ways they are each relatable, likeable, and respectable, yet each has very twisted elements of their history that guides their psyche and actions throughout their life.
If you like highly suspenseful stories with twisted characters, then I think you will find yourself lost in The Silent Wife.
