3 Must-Have Fall Fashion Items

Love this? Share it!

Does your closet need a little boost as the seasons change? If you’ve for these three must haves for fall, you should be all set!

Somewhere around August I start rebelling against my summer wardrobe. Considering I live in Oklahoma this is a pretty risky game as we’re most certainly to have several more weeks (and hopefully not months) of pretty warm weather.

Those first days where we dip into the 60s and 70s? I’m in heaven. It’s not so much that I hate the summertime, it’s just that I love fall fashion the most! In the summer months I tend to rotate the same cool and comfy summer dresses and outfits over and over again and I love the added possibilities cooler weather brings to my closet.

While there are obviously lots of items one might want to add to their closet this time of year, there are three I highly recommend.

If you’ve got these three items in your closet, the rest of your clothing will be easy to mix and match for fall!

3 Fashion Must Haves for Fall

1. Great fitting jeans

With the events (or non-events?) of the past six or seven months, it may have been a while since you put on jeans. Or pants in general.

In the days when you do have to go outside (or even if you don’t), a great pair of jeans will make you feel like you’re having a normal-ish day and who couldn’t use that right now?

I’ve reviewed a couple of great Amazon options in the past (and still give them two thumbs up) but there are some other cute and affordable brands you might want to try.

The Target Universal Thread line has become pretty popular, as well as the Old Navy Rockstar jeans that people love. Both brands will get you covered for less than $30 a pair.

2. Lightweight jacket

I live for a good jacket. Take any simple t-shirt or blouse and pair it with a good blazer or cute moto or denim jacket and you look immediately put-together.

I have more than a few in my closet and enjoy rotating through them all season long. Jackets make it so fast and easy for an outfit to really come together!

3. Comfortable ankle boots

I love a good pair of pointy-toe flats in the fall but when it’s cold out I want my feet to be stylish and warm. Sneakers have their time and place but a good pair of comfortable ankle boots is a must-have in my book.

If you’re going to grab a pair this year I’d add a neutral color that will go with a lot of different outfits. Black, brown, or gray are a great place to start!

You can add a heel to it if you’d like, but a good pair of low-heeled or flat boots will give you a great option for being on your feet all day.

Now that you’ve got your must-haves, it’s all about styling what it’s in your closet! Store your spring-y pastels away for another day and reach for the richer fall tones that will get you ready for the season.
