Alabama

  • Dates: July 21-23
  • Eligible Items: Clothing (up to $100 per item), computers (up to $750), school supplies (up to $50 per item), books (up to $30 per item). **Alabama cities and counties can choose to opt out or participate on a limited basis.**

Arkansas

  • Dates: August 5-6
  • Eligible Items: Clothing (up to $100 per item), items normally sold as school supplies.

Connecticut

  • Dates: August 20-26
  • Eligible items: Clothing and footwear (up to $100 per item)

Florida

  • Dates: August 4-6
  • Eligible Items: Clothing, footwear, and accessories (up to $60 per item), school supplies (up to $15 per item), computers (up to $750).

Iowa

  • Dates: August 4-5
  • Eligible items: Clothing and footwear (up to $100 per item).

Louisiana

  • Dates: August 4-5
  • Eligible Items: Most tangible personal property ($2,500 or less). **Holiday reduces the state’s 5% state sales tax to 3% for eligible items. Does not apply to sale taxes levied by parishes, municipalities, school boards and other taxing jurisdictions.**

Maryland

  • Dates: August 13-19
  • Eligible Items: Clothing and footwear (up to $100 per item).

Mississippi

  • Dates: July 28-29
  • Eligible items: Clothing and footwear (up to $100 per item).

Missouri

  • Dates: August 4-6
  • Eligible items: Clothing (up to $100 per item), school supplies (up to $50 per item), computer software (up to $350 per item), personal computers and peripheral devices (up to $1500 per item), graphing calculators (up to $150 per item).

New Mexico

  • Dates: August 4-6
  • Eligible items: Clothing (up to $100 per item), school supplies (up to $30, per item), computers (up to $1,000), computer equipment (up to $500).

Ohio

  • Dates: August 4-6
  • Eligible items: Clothing (up to $75 per item), school supplies (up to $20 each)

Oklahoma

  • Dates: August 4-6
  • Eligible items: Clothing (up to $100 per item).

South Carolina

  • Dates: August 4-6
  • Eligible items: No price limit for clothing, accessories, footwear, school supplies, computers, printers, computer software, bed linens, and bath accessories. Jewelry, cosmetics, eyewear, wallets, watches, and furniture are taxable.

Tennessee

  • Dates: July 28-30
  • Eligible items: Clothing (up to $100 per item), school supplies (up to $100 per item), computers (up to $1,500 per item).

Texas

  • Dates: August 11-13
  • Eligible items: Clothing, backpacks, and school supplies (up to $100 per item)

Virginia

  • Dates: August 4-6
  • Eligible items: Clothing and footwear (up to $100 per item), school supplies (up to $20 per item), products that meet Energy Star and WaterSense qualifications (up to $2,500 per item), Hurricane preparedness items, like portable generators (up to $1,000 per item), generators (up to $1,000 per item), chainsaw accessories (up to $60 per item).
