It’s late at night. You are tired and you can’t wait to pamper yourself a bit and then binge-watch Netflix or go to bed. But it seems that you forgot to buy one or more of your beauty products. Now what?
That little evening ritual can disconnect from the worries of the day. Don’t worry. There are smart replacements that can help you so you don’t have to make an unwanted trip to the store or forget about your skincare routine.
Here are useful quick beauty hacks:
There is no more eye cream.
You can use a lip balm to moisturize the eye area and to make it look refreshed in the morning. Avoid any slightly tinted one and go for a simple lip moisturizer. Fragrance can be irritating for the eyes and make them water, so it’s best to stay away from scented ones too.
You have no more makeup remover.
Use argan, coconut, almond, or olive oil. All of them will do a great job. If you have dry skin, you can allow them to work their magic throughout the night as well. If your skin is normal or oily, use the cleanser afterwards then care for it according to its needs.
The toner is gone.
Rinse your face with green tea as it contains lots of antioxidants that soothe the skin. Or spritz some thermal water to refresh your face.
You have no foot cream.
If you have lip balms you don’t like, it’s time to put them to good use. Just slather some layers and get a sock on.
You need a new quick dry top coat.
If your solution to dry your nail polish quickly is gone, this doesn’t mean that you have to forget about your flawless manicure or to spend ages waiting for it to dry.
Just apply nail polish like you would usually do and then soak your nails in a bowl of icy water. A few ice cubes from the freezer will be useful here.
No more face cream?
Use some jojoba oil to nourish your skin. It is suitable for sensitive skin as well and you don’t have to worry that it will clog your pores.
You have no more body scrub.
A bit of sugar with olive oil can successfully replace your regular scrub. However, don’t rub it too harshly as the particles are much rougher than those of a store-bought scrub. If you use a lip scrub and that one just got unavailable as well, just use your toothbrush for a gentle scrub.
In need of a hair mask?
There is no need to rush to get one. Apply coconut oil, put a shower cap on and leave the mask on for at least a few hours.
If you have dandruff or a dry scalp, you can start applying straight from the roots. If your hair gets oily quickly, skip this step and use it only on the hair.
You’ve ran out of hair-styling products.
If you don’t leave home in the morning without using some hair products, having none left is bad news. Yet there is an unconventional solution.
Braid your hair then put a few drops of beer in a spray bottle. If you don’t have any mist bottle around, just apply a bit on your hands and moisten your braids. In the morning you’ll have wavy hair.
Any smell just dissipates. Still, if you want to eliminate any trace of doubt, just spritz a bit of fragrance on your hair in the morning.
