Baking Soda Beauty Uses

I always talk about baking soda because well.. it’s cheap, and it’s waiting for you in your cabinet. Not in a creepy way, in a patient way…unless yours is really old and then maybe it is creepy because it’s stinky and needs to be thrown away. If that’s the case, you probably will want to replace it before my next two suggestions.

1.) Mix a little with your shampoo to make your shampoo go further and also help clean your scalp and get rid of any build up. Cleaner, bouncier hair for pennies and zero extra effort.

2.) Put your toothpaste on your toothbrush and dip your toothbrush into the soda (I have a little bowl of baking soda to do this). Brush your teeth! Result – whiter, smoother teeth. Even my bonded teeth see a little something from this from regular surface staining with coffee and wine. If you’re feeling extra ambitious, you can even do a 1 part for 1 part hydrogen peroxide/water rinse or 1 part for 1 part hydrogen peroxide/mouthwash rinse to really help whiten teeth for pennies! Now, I personally have a whole mess of fake teeth so this is much more effective for people with the teeth God gave ’em. Only do this 1 time per week until you know how your mouth will deal with it. Then go up to 2x/week.

I tried adding some baking soda to my shampoo yesterday and love how my hair and scalp feel today! Thanks for the suggestion!
