What book made you a reader? Not what was the first book you remember reading or what book is the best book you ever read, but what book made you LOVE to read?
That book, that one special book, is the difference between the kids who only read for a grade and the ones who will love it for the rest of their lives.
My book was Anne of Green Gables. I can’t even count how many times I have read it. I am not alone in this. That little puff-sleeved orphan is responsible for a lot of readers. Thanks to Anne Shirley I harbor lifelong jealously towards redheads, have trouble passing up a good Prince Edward Island Pinterest board, and will always be happiest in the autumn. Also my husband is relieved that we got married before this photoshoot started making the rounds. Raspberry cordial for everyone!
My tattered copy of Anne. One of the few books with a dreaded movie adaptation cover that I allow in my collection.
So what about you? Which book is your kindred spirit?

The Boxcar children series is what got me hooked. I also loves Ella Enchanted.

I love this idea and I had that exact version of Anne of Green Gables. Such a great book and series!

Mine was The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. It also made me a lover of Turkish Delight.

Anne of Green Gables was my book too, though I haven't read it in a really long time! I think I need to re-read it now!
