Who says you have to grow up? -Walt Disney
Disney World is a magical place full of excitement, adventure, and imagination. But why should kids have all of the fun? Here are a few reasons why your next trip to Disney should be kid-free.
Disney World for Adults
1. You can enjoy the big kid rides.
This first one goes without saying. If you’re one of those adults who enjoys a thrill every once in a while, you can get your fix at Disney World. From Space Mountain and Thunder Mountain at The Magic Kingdom to the Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there’s no limit to the amount of adult-friendly fun.
My favorite ride, for now, is the Flight of Passage inside Animal Kingdom. Yes, this is the Avatar ride, and it is AWESOME! No matter how long the line, trust me, it’s worth the wait.
2. You can eat at a nice, adult-friendly restaurant.
Let’s face it. Chicken fingers and burgers are cool, but sometimes you want something a bit different. Disney Parks are full of restaurants for those of us with a more sophisticated pallet. If you’re ever at Animal Kingdom, check out Tiffins Nomad Lounge. It provides a nice, chic atmosphere with great food as well.
3. You can still dress alike.
Who says matching outfits should be reserved for family trips. Call me corny, but I always jump at the opportunity to dress alike with my friends….and Disney World is the perfect place to do it. I honestly can’t say why it’s so much fun, but it is!
4. You can dance the night away at Atlantic Dance Hall.
The Atlantic Dance Hall is an adult-only spot located in Disney’s Boardwalk Villas. I think it’s the perfect place to unwind after a long day. It can not only be fun for a girls’ trip, but the romantic views can make it an ideal outing for couples as well.
5. You can take a nap whenever you please.
This is, perhaps, my favorite reason of them all. Disney World zaps your energy much faster as an adult, than when you were a child. Therefore, naps become an essential part of the vacation. When you’re on a trip full of adults, you likely won’t get as much push-back when it’s time to go back to the room and relax. That’s because they will all feel the same way.
While I definitely believe the Disney parks are here for the entire family to enjoy (you can grab some tips for planning your first trip here), there’s really something special about taking in that magic as an adult. So instead of heading to the mountains or beach for a quick getaway with your adult friends, you may want to consider taking a trip to the most magical place on earth.
