Were you eagerly awaiting the ball drop on New Year’s Eve? Or wishing you had a little more time to accomplish all the goals you set for yourself last January 1? Either way, 2017 is here and we might as well roll with it! Here are 5 things to do today that will help get the year off on the right foot.
1. Keep track of your reading!
I want to read more this year and I thought a fill-in book log would be a fun way to keep track of it! Want your own book log? Sign up for the weekly Splendry newsletter and you can download one (plus a cool printable calendar)!
2. Join a style challenge
Amp up your wardrobe this year and finally have a closet full of only things you actually wear and LOVE! I’ve got one going on my other website so check it out and join in on the fun!
3. Stock up
Batteries and light bulbs. Buy them today and have them all year.
Credit card payments, mortgage bills, utilities, all the things you have to remember to mail in every month – set up auto payments so you don’t have to think twice! (Just make sure you’ve got money in your bank account!)
Now obviously you don’t want to miss the Splendry weekly newsletter, but I bet you’ve got a few other emails you’d love to have removed from your inbox! Try a website like Unroll.me and choose which emails you’d like to opt out of! For example, I just unsubscribed to several car dealership and men’s health magazine newsletters. How I got on those lists initially? No clue! Unroll.me is a free service and also offers an option to have your favorite subscriptions combined into one weekly roundup.
Here’s to a leaner inbox this year!

Thanks for the reminder to start off the year with a book log - I did this years ago and keep meaning to get back to it, but don't think of it until half-way through the year! And I'm headed over to Unroll.me to as my first act in my 2017 declutter program! Thanks for the tips!
