In a new installment of what to read, we’ve got new picks from Splendry founder and editor, Jamie. We’ve been asking our contributors to share the last five books they read (and what they thought), so if you haven’t checked out Amanda’s picks from a few weeks ago, make sure you do!
Jamie’s been on a bit of a fiction kick lately, so if you’re looking for a book club pick, this might be a good place to start!

What to Read Next

1. Women in Sunlight

women in sunlight Frances Mayes - what to read on Splendry

A friend sent me a copy of this gorgeous book and it’s a wonderful summer read. Three friends embark on a new adventure (they move to Italy!) and it’s as stunning and life-changing as you’d hope. This is the same author who brought us Under the Tuscan Sun, so, just a warning, you will want to move to Italy after reading this! 4 Stars

2. Am I There Yet?

Am I There Yet Mari Andrew - what to read - Splendry

Filled with snippets of her own life and fun, quirky illustrations, this is a fun, quick, and inspiring read. I think it’s intended for those in their mid-to late 20s as a “starter” guide, I found lots to love as a mid-30s woman. Adding this to my list of go-to gifts for recent college grads and anyone looking to do a little soul-searching. 5 Stars

3. I’ve Got Your Number

I've Got Your Number Sophie Kinsella - what to read on Splendry

I was a fan of the Shopaholic series by author Sophie Kinsella and picked this up on a whim. It’s a cute story and while pretty predictable, I still quite enjoyed. 3 Stars

4. Still Me

Still Me by Jojo Moyes - what to read on Splendry

After reading both Before You and After You by Jojo Moyes I was surprised to see a third installment of this series. I was happy to have found it and quite enjoyed another chapter of Luisa’s often-hilarious story. Now living in New York she’s juggling a new job, a long-distance relationship and still feeling the effects of tragedy. If you enjoyed the other books in this series, I think you’ll be happy with this one. 4 Stars

5. The Royal We

The Royal We - what to read next on Splendry

Yes, I’m super late to the game on this one, but finally got around to reading it! (It’s been on my “to-read” list for ages! I was not disappointed and really loved this fun book. Providing a glimpse into royal life from the perspective of a young American woman was intriguing and the book is just all-around entertaining. You’re rooting for the heroine all along and rumor has it, there’s a sequel (and maybe a movie version?) on the way! 4 Stars
