Save (or Make) Money by Signing up for Freebies!

It is no secret that life is getting increasingly expensive. As prices for necessities continue to rise, it’s become more and more important to find creative ways to save money. A common disappointment of implementing a budget is limiting “fun” purchases or buying store brands instead of favorite brands. One of the best creative ways I have found to save money without sacrificing my favorite treats is to utilize signing up for freebies, or free products.

How to Save (or Make) Money by Signing up for Freebies

Earn freebies from companies and brands with these easy tips!

Many companies send out free products, you just need to know where to look. Thankfully, there are websites dedicated to sharing the very best freebies with you, making it super convenient to start saving money. I typically check MoneySavingMom for a list of available freebies. Oftentimes, all that is needed to sign up is to enter your name, address, and email. I spend maybe five minutes once a week signing up for products I’m interested in. Getting free products in the mail is a fun part of the week!

Freebies come in all forms!

There is almost no limit to what kinds of products are given out for free. Food, hygiene products, makeup, and feminine products are common freebies. Companies will either send the actual products or coupons for free products. I have received everything from protein bars to laundry soap to lip gloss to toilet paper to Nutella. Oftentimes, the products sent are sample-sized (or a full-sized single product, like one protein bar), and the coupons are for full-sized items. I have been able to add the free foods I receive in the mail to boost my lunches and try new recipes.

Freebies are everywhere!

Once you start signing up for freebies, you start to see them everywhere. Today I was able to get a coupon for a free pint of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream just for signing up for auto-pay for my phone bill! Do you use social media? Signing up for websites like Influenster can set you up for products in exchange for a like on social media and a picture on Instagram! I have been able to get several free foods this way.

Ask and you will receive!

One more way to save money on your favorite purchases is to write to the company and ask for coupons. Many companies are happy to have fans reach out and will send coupons for either amazing discounts or even free products! I have gotten free yogurt, butter, crackers, frozen foods, and drinks with just a few emails.
