Better Than New is the autobiography by HGTV/DIY star Nicole Curtis. I first grew to love Nicole by watching her restore old houses (and not just completely re-furnish them) in Minneapolis and Detroit.
Nicole tries to save as much from the original house as possible all the while bringing it into the 21st century. She shares how she got her start in flipping house and the mistakes she made along the way. She opens up about her personal life and her relationships and how the choices she made led her to where she is today. Nicole is incredibly honest about past relationships, healthy or not, and what she learned from them all the while keeping her house flipping business going. It’s a refreshingly honest story about life and business and someone we can all learn something from.
